So since my last blog, I've started back to school. Yup. I'm now going back to school to get my A.S. degree in veterinary technology. I'm super excited about it. I think this is a new career direction that I can feel good about. I can help animals, while paying my bills. Originally I was planning on becoming a vet tech specialist focusing in the Exotic Companion Animal specialty because I plan on getting my wildlife rehabilitator license as well, but the more I've researched while trying to help my mom with her cat's behavior issues, the more I'm leaning toward the Animal Behavior specialty. I'm pretty sure you can't specialize in two areas, so we'll see which I choose. Only time will tell. Anyway, so my first term back in school ends this Friday (May 4th), and so far I've done pretty damn well--I've pulled down all As. I'm pretty proud of myself considering I've also been holding down my job, taking care of my animals, and trying to keep my boyfriend happy (he's been away at school in Gainesville). J
In other news, I need a new car. I really want a Chevy Sonic, but they're brand new for 2012, so they're very pricey. I've figured out that if I can save up about $4,000 for a down payment, I can just about afford the car payments for one. Maybe. Of course, by the time I've managed to save up the $4,000, hopefully they will have come down in price.

The sedans are cheaper, but I really want the hatchback for the cargo space (better for transporting aerial equipment/animals). The boring white paint job is also cheaper, but I really want the orange. XD
Speaking of aerial equipment, I am still on my mission to save up for my own. This way I can train at home until I can get aforementioned car and resume training in Orlando. I have yet to figure out how to convince other people to donate to my cause. This is vital because with my current job and going back to school, I am barely able to make ends meet.
That's about all that's new with me
for now
Ta ta!
